Café Zinho, located in Middleton Shopping Centre, is facing growing scrutiny after a photo submitted by a member of the public highlighted apparent cleanliness issues within its food preparation area a second time in the same Month.

The image shows a worn and visibly dirty oven glove left on top of a metal fridge or appliance, surrounded by grime and debris. The condition of the surface suggests it has not been properly cleaned, raising concerns about general hygiene practices on-site.

These concerns follow a recent visit from the Environmental Health agency, during which they found no additional concerns. Sources indicate that worktops were found to be covered in layers of dust, with suggestions that some surfaces had not been cleaned for weeks.
Food safety standards require that all preparation areas are kept clean and maintained regularly to prevent contamination. Dust accumulation and unclean equipment can pose potential risks in environments where food is handled.
The latest image has added to worries that routine cleaning and maintenance procedures may not be consistently followed at the café. Businesses operating in public shopping centres are expected to meet strict hygiene standards to ensure customer safety.
Café Zinho has not yet publicly responded to the concerns.
Members of the public are encouraged to report hygiene issues to local authorities, who can carry out inspections and take action where necessary.
