Ordsall Hall offers free entry from Monday to Thursday, and it remains closed on Fridays and Saturdays. it is also open on Sunday's. The Hall hosts a variety of entertaining events and activities suitable for the whole family, and you can even try on costumes and chainmail!

It's an exciting and enjoyable day out for all, featuring approximately 360 rooms to explore, each with its own historical significance. Additionally, there's a café and formal gardens on site. Friendly dogs are welcome in the gardens but must be kept on leads, stay on the hard pathways, and avoid going on the grass.

The volunteers strive to organise outings to stay connected with one another until they can eventually return to Hopwood Hall Estate and resume their dedicated efforts in restoring the currently neglected hall.

At Ordsall Hall, the staff and volunteers were welcoming and ready to help, offering historical information about each room and the hall as a whole. A delightful volunteer named Sue was particularly inspiring, with her extensive knowledge and insights, making her a wonderful person to listen to and converse with. She is truly an incredible asset as a volunteer.
